Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal (WACN) safely delivered 220 Children’s Kits, 160 Postpartum Mothers’ Kits, and 160 Senior Citizens’ Kits to the Disaster Management Committee in Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot.
Following the distribution, our team held a constructive meeting with the Assistant Chief District Officer at District Administration Office, Nuwakot. Together, we reviewed the immediate ground reality and discussed critical elements to be considered for the upcoming recovery and rehabilitation phase, ensuring government plans address the deep vulnerabilities left behind by the flood.
We also met some of the flood survivors and listen to their personal stories. Hearing about their experiences, the challenges they have faced, and the losses they have endured was deeply moving. Their strength and resilience touched our hearts and reminded us why standing beside affected communities matters so much.
Although the relief has been delivered, the journey is far from over. Recovery will require time, strength, and continued support. Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal (WACN) remains committed to standing with the flash flood affected communities as they rebuild, recover, and move forward with hope.
